Through participation in the youth ministry of Rivermont Presbyterian Church, young people will discover their identity in Christ, grow towards maturity in their faith as they learn about and embrace the stories and practices of Christian discipleship, and be equipped to join in the work of God’s kingdom in the world.
Sunday School 10:00-10:45 AM
Middle School and High School youth meet in different classrooms in the Youth Room at Rivermont. Both groups study the Bible through creative activities and opportunities for discussion and reflection.
Sunday Evening Youth Group 5:30-7:30 PM
Youth in grades 6-12 meet in the Youth Room at Rivermont. We eat dinner together and play fun and active games in the gym or around the church. For lessons we split into separate high school and middle school groups. Some weeks, we do service projects as a large group. Parents and guardians are invited to provide a meal—click here to sign-up!
Wednesdays Together 5:15-7:00 PM
Youth and their families are invited to dinner with all generations of Rivermont from 5:15-6:00 PM. After dinner, youth gather in small or large groups to explore scripture through videos, discussion, art, and writing.
Youth participate in many of the amazing mission opportunities Rivermont offers. From Honduras to downtown Chattanooga, youth join in the work God is doing all over the world. Mission trips typically occur during summer breaks, and service opportunities are available year round.
Each summer, Rivermont youth are invited to participate in the Montreat Youth Conferences. These are amazing experiences that allow youth to grow in their faith and meet new friends. High school students (rising 9th-graduated 12th grades) go to the Montreat Conference Center in North Carolina. Middle school students (rising 6th- graduated 8th grades) attend the Middle School conference at Maryville College in Maryville, TN.
