Carol Secord has ministered to Senior Adults of Rivermont for
more than 10 years.
“At first, I was
expected to provide entertainment for the very elderly of our congregation,”
Carol remembers. “As I grow in this job, I want to offer more substance, and
extend the ministry to people before they become frail.”
As the ministry expands beyond the “fun and games” aspect most
churches associate with senior adult ministry, Carol sees how God calls her to
this specialized field. Her life is enriched by working with Seniors through
their spiritual development, their resolution of unfinished business in past
relationships, and their preparation for later life.
