Rivermont has a handful of people on the service committee, more are
welcome. The Service Committee is under the direction of the Board of
Deacons.
The Service Committee of Rivermont is a busy place because our church is
hands on in missions all the time!
Under Service are the efforts to help the
Community Kitchen, Habitat for Humanity, Interfaith Hospitality Network of
Greater Chattanooga
(IHNGC: megihnchat@aol.com and
Jan Varnell
of Rivermont is on the Board), Blood Assurance, Contact,
Bachman
(link, Fred Lupton) and the Presbyterian House at
UTC (link). There are many
others in this list, not mentioned here.
We also facilitate the collection of the Two-Cents
a Meal offering which is now also called Cents-ability.
