Contra Dance at Rivermont
Contra Dance February 28 6:00 – 8:00 pm in the gym. No partner or experience is necessary to enjoy this blend of folk dancing and square dancing. A caller leads dancers through a series of moves. The patterns are very easy to learn; contra dancing is like walking to music. Partners dance in traditional lines, with some reels or facing circles. Local “old time” musicians will provide toe-tapping accompaniment, so come hear even if you don’t dance!
